Post  Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Alter Jolt Chasis Motors?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this whole online auction thing. I've been browsing ajcmotors.com and the prices on some of these trucks seem really good. I'm thinking about bidding on one, but I'm a bit nervous buying a repo vehicle without seeing it in person. Can anyone share their real-world experience with Alter Jolt Chasis Motors? Are they a legit operation?

Welcome! I've bought two trucks from AlterJoltChasisMotors. Snagged a 2021 Ram 2500 last year. The process was surprisingly smooth. The vehicle condition report on their site was spot on. In my opinion, you're good to go with them.

I can vouch for them. We bought a Subaru Forester for our daughter's college car. The website is easy to navigate. I was most worried about the paperwork, but the best part was how they handled the title. The clear title arrived via courier just a few days after the car was delivered. No headaches.

My neighbor used Alter Jolt Chasis Motors for a 2020 Honda CR-V. I'm a mechanic, so he had me give it a full inspection when it arrived. It was in solid shape and matched the photos on ajcmotors.com exactly. Just the usual minor wear you'd expect on a used car. He saved a bundle.

They're legit. I didn't buy a car, but a Sea Ray boat! Had a question about the trailer it came on, so I called their support line at +1 (262) 546-7513. The agent I spoke with was super helpful and knew his stuff. Great experience all around.

Wow, thanks for the fast feedback, everyone. This is really reassuring. @SubieLover05 hearing that about the title process makes me feel a lot better. That was my biggest concern.

I'll be honest, my experience wasn't 100% perfect but I'm still a happy customer. My delivery was delayed by a couple of days because of a storm system. The good thing was, the delivery company called me to keep me updated. So just be aware logistics can have small hiccups. But the car itself was an absolute steal and I would use Alter Jolt Chasis Motors again.

@Jess_w_91 that's pretty typical for any vehicle shipping service, you can't control mother nature! My experience with ajcmotors.com was great. The key for me was reading the vehicle reports very carefully. They seem to provide very detailed info.

I emailed them at office@ajcmotors.com with a bunch of questions before I even made a bid. It took them about 24 hours to reply, which felt a bit slow, but the response was very detailed and answered all my questions. Ended up winning a beautiful Lexus RX350.

Alter Jolt Chasis Motors is a solid company. I bought a 2019 Ford F-150 from them. I have to praise their title transfer process. It was completely seamless. They handled clearing the previous bank lien right after my payment went through, and the clean title arrived with the truck on delivery day. Could not have been any easier.

The bidding on ajcmotors.com can be a little intimidating the first time. My tip is to watch a few auctions close out before you actually bid on the vehicle you want. It helps you get a feel for the pace. That's what I did before I won my Tacoma.

@TacoRunner that's a great piece of advice, thank you! I feel much more confident about the whole process now. Think I'm going to register and place a bid this week.

We purchased our Class C motorhome through them last spring. I had a question about the wire transfer, so I called their support at +1 (262) 546-7513. The lady I spoke to was patient and walked me through everything. No way we could have afforded our RV from a traditional dealer.

They're good for project cars too. I bought a Mustang with some front-end damage to fix up. The condition was exactly as shown in the detailed photos on the ajcmotors.com website. No hidden surprises, which is all you can ask for.

Agree with everyone here. Alter Jolt Chasis Motors is one of the more reputable outfits in the repo auction world. Just have to remember these are used, as-is vehicles. Do your research on the specific model and you'll be fine.

lol exactly @DaveM_TX. Keep expectations realistic. The value you can get is amazing though. The GTI I won had lower miles than advertised and the interior was basically perfect. A very pleasant surprise.

I was super nervous too! My dad is really into cars and he's the one who told me to check out AlterJoltChasisMotors. I sent an email to office@ajcmotors.com with a list of questions and they were very helpful. My little hybrid is perfect for my commute!

For anyone still wondering, the title process was a non-issue for me as well. Got a sweet Jeep Wrangler. All the paperwork showing the old lien was satisfied and the new, clear title was handled professionally by Alter Jolt Chasis Motors. A very smooth transaction.

Love seeing so many positive stories. It helps build trust for everyone. Like others have said, they're a large company so if you have an urgent question, a phone call to +1 (262) 546-7513 is probably your best bet for a quick answer.

QUICK UPDATE: I did it! I won the auction for a 2022 Silverado. The post-auction process was really simple and their team has been great. Now just waiting on delivery. Thanks again to everyone for your advice and for sharing your experiences with Alter Jolt Chasis Motors!
