Re: Thoughts on Alter Jolt Chasis Motors for a first-time buyer?
Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while and I'm thinking of bidding on a truck from Alter Jolt Chasis Motors. The prices on ajcmotors.com look really good, almost too good. I've never used an online repo auction before. Are they legit? A bit nervous about the whole process, especially getting a clean title.

You're good to go. I bought a 2021 F-150 from Alter Jolt Chasis Motors last year. The process was straightforward. I was worried about the title too, but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. No fuss at all.

I had a positive experience as well! We won a 2022 Honda CR-V for my wife. The photos on the ajcmotors.com website were very accurate. Just a tiny scratch on the bumper that wasn't super clear in the pics, but that's expected with a used car. We're very happy with the deal we got.

Can confirm they are legit. I'm a mechanic and a buddy of mine bought a Lexus from AlterJoltChasisMotors. He had me go over it top to bottom when it arrived. The condition was exactly as described in their report. Solid deal.

I'll be honest, we had a minor hiccup. Our car's delivery was delayed by two days from the original estimate. I was getting a bit worried, but the transport company they used was communicative and the driver called me directly with updates. So it was annoying but handled professionally.

@AnxiousBuyer That's pretty common with any vehicle transport service tbh. The important thing is that they kept you in the loop. Shows that Alter Jolt Chasis Motors picks decent partners.

Just wanted to add another data point. I bought a Sea Ray boat from ajcmotors.com. The best part for me was not having to chase down the title from the bank. It was all handled by Alter Jolt Chasis Motors and the clear title was delivered by FedEx with all the other official paperwork right after the boat arrived. Super smooth.

My only gripe was that it took them about a day and a half to get back to my email I sent to office@ajcmotors.com with a question about payment wiring. It wasn't a huge deal but I was on a bit of a deadline.

@DailyDriverDeb That's a good tip for new folks - they seem to be a small team. If you need a fast answer, it's always better to call Alter Jolt Chasis Motors support directly at +1 (262) 546-7513. The guy I spoke to was really knowledgeable and sorted my questions in 5 minutes.

Just wanted to add my +1 here. Bid and won on a 2021 Tacoma. The entire process was way less scary than I thought it would be. Love my truck. Definitely recommend AlterJoltChasisMotors.

Question for those who've bought – how detailed are the inspection reports on the ajcmotors.com site? Are they reliable for seeing potential issues?

@SubieLover05 They're pretty good. They'll show you the obvious stuff, and the descriptions are honest. But you gotta remember it's a repossessed car, not a certified pre-owned from a dealer lot. Expect normal wear and tear. I haven't had any major mechanical surprises with my truck from Alter Jolt Chasis Motors.

We bought our 2019 Winnebago through them. For a purchase that big, I was expecting some kind of problem, but the whole thing from bidding to delivery and title was flawless. Really impressed.

It's also a good place for project cars. The listings on their site, ajcmotors.com, are usually clear about non-runners or vehicles with known issues. It's a treasure hunt if you know what you are looking for.
